February issue
The February issue of The New Vision – available the first weekend of the month – features a call from Bishop Kicanas to everyone involved in service to the Church to attend an unusual three-day Diocesan-wide conference at the Tucson Convention Center. The dates are March 15-17, and the event will offer 83 workshops sure to include every ministry, job and role in the parish or school setting.
Also in this issue you’ll find an eight-page supplement devoted to the Church’s role in the state’s history, as Arizona celebrates its Centennial on Feb. 14. A fine exhibit highlighting the involvement of vowed religious in the state’s development opens that day at the Diocese’s Archives next to St. Ambrose Parish on South Tucson Boulevard in Tucson. It’s titled, simply, “The Sisters,” and admission is free.
There are a number of letters to the editor that you’ll find interesting to read – and perhaps you’ll be moved to write your own. We’d be pleased to receive them.
Again a reminder: Our goal is to inform readers throughout the Diocese of the news, events and happenings in each and every parish. So send us the information so we can do that. The deadline is the 15th of the month prior to the next month’s newspaper.
Send emails to bernz@diocesetucson.org or mail to Bern Zovistoski, Managing Editor, The New Vision, P.O. Box 31, Tucson, AZ 85702.
Help us to help you get your message out! And thank you.
