October issue
Posted on by Bern ZovistoskiThe October issue features a story and illustration about “a beautiful work of sacred art” that will be created in the vestibule of St. Augustine Cathedral by artist John Alan, who is extending his efforts already apparent inside and outside the Cathedral. A massive mural will grace the vestibule walls and ceiling, providing a special visual effect to the faithful as they enter and leave through the main doors facing Stone Avenue.
There is featured coverage of Respect Life Sunday on Page 1.
Photos abound in this issue – from the annual Celebration of Marriage Mass, the first-ever clergy and religious fine art show, a meeting of bi-national groups fighting for migrant rights in Ambos Nogales.
Bishop Kicanas writes about the unique challenges that face pastors in small communities, and how he plans to meet with those pastors and discuss ways to “enliven parish life and their priestly ministry.”
There is much more in this month’s issue. Be sure to pick up a copy at your parish, or read it online. Thank you!
